Dusky Goose Winery Acquires New Production Winery

Carlton, OR, June 28, 2021 - Oregon premium wine producer Dusky Goose is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new location for its production facility, in Carlton, Oregon. Oregon winemaking luminary and Dusky Goose’s longtime founding winemaker Lynn Penner-Ash will continue to oversee production and will be joined by newly appointed Winemaker Hans Van Dale. The new production facility is located in downtown Carlton, Oregon and was previously home to Craft Wine Company. METIS, the premier M&A advisory firm in the Pacific Northwest focused on the global adult beverage and hospitality industries, was the sole transaction advisor.
According to manager and owner, John Carter, while the vineyard and tasting room remain in the Dundee Hills, production of the 2022 vintage will be at this new location. “Once we have made a few updates and modifications to the facility, we will be happy to move our winemaking to a new permanent home,” said Carter. “We are pleased that Lynn Penner-Ash will continue with us in her capacity as Founding Winemaker, and will work with our new Winemaker Hans Van Dale to continue the tradition of excellence at Dusky Goose—making great Pinot since 2002.”
Craft Wine Company has moved to a new Tasting Room location at 116 W. Main Street, also in downtown Carlton, OR, where guests can enjoy their Omero, Mimimus, and Origin wines.
